many Holmeses
If there is something seriously I have to admit, is the debate between the many Holmesianos on which version more faithful to the book by Arthur Conan Doyle, and sometimes turns up ... bloody. Many films and series made (and one called "Sherlock" that's out ... not RDJ, damnit.) Based on the adventures of this brilliant detective and his faithful companion Dr. Watson . Many versions with different actors have done, perhaps the best known is that which marked what would be the "paradigm" of Sherlock Holmes: An intelligent man with hat hunter ("deerstalker" call it) a layer and the pipe. And Dr. Watson as a man of intelligence inferior, clumsy and might even say dull.
And, well, no.
admit: In the scrolls and the times I write about this man, I use the physical appearance of RDJ. Why? Well, because it and I love RDJ, and some people prefer to use Basil Rathbone or Jeremy Brett. Although in the books Holmes is a man who is larger than 1.80 (1.75 REACHES AND GRAZING RDJ XD), has piercing gray eyes, and aquiline nose (lol). I bet if I had seen Granada Series before the movie, would have used that? Perhaps no. Is that Robert is ... Robert. End of case.
I'm not criticizing any of the characters, in itself, I've only ever seen two: Robert Downey Jr. and Jeremy Brett. I need to see the performances with Basil Rathbone and Vasily Livanov Bosarovich (Yes, Holmes has a Russian version.) So I am not yet in a position to fully judge others. Over time I can do (: Plus, everyone is good at what he does, and indeed, I see everyone as if they were ... different universes. The only complaint I have so far is that Nigel Bruce have been made (The one who acted with Basil Rathbone as Dr. Watson) and a Dr. Watson almost silly, vapid, meaningless and totally ridiculous that only praises his friend.
Before making a comparison, I must make appropriate references to the character of Sherlock Holmes. Not that Guy Ritchie, and Jeremy Brett or any other filmmaker has portrayed, but Sherlock Holmes, a charismatic character that Arthur Conan Doyle invented long ago atrásy which even today continues being a living legend.
